Futuristic.

i looked up at the skies, and i wondered: How much time do i have left to see this world?

there's no answer to it. nobody knows what is going to happen in our future. will we be married? or will be be single for live? will we graduate from university? or will we drop out of college? there's no telling that things will turn out to be what we expected it. everything in our future is shrouded in a mist, but the least we can do is to cherish everyday and use every minute of it constructively ((:

i took this picture of a block of flats from my window today. i cant help but make random guesses of what it will be like in future. perhaps it'll be demolished and a shopping centre will be built there? or maybe USA will want to donate to us the statue of liberty and it'll be relocated here? or maybe it'll be a research centre for man-made mutations of animals? i dont know, but i am sure over the years, there'll definitely be a change.

then i look up at the dark skies. will it ever look the same again in the future? most prolly not. when i grow up, say in 10years time, perhaps everything would have changed. there might be great flyovers in jurong, or maybe there might be, i dont know, buildings on stilts?

our future is so full of uncertainty (is there such a word?), and especially now, Singapore is undergoing lots of changes. the building of Integrated Resorts, the baby booms, the economical changes, the great rise in the standard of living, the change in everyday lifestyle, the increasing speed of the society--its just too many and fast. I dare say within 5 years time or so, Singapore could be even more developed. Singapore could be chasing up with the very well developed countries like america! and that is certainly great news.

The standard of education might be changed too in order for our future generation to keep up with the current fast-pacing society, especially in Singapore. I think that our primary school education should be packed into 4 years studies, just like our secondary studies. The rest could be kept the same. Cause i was looking back at the primary school syllables this year, from primary 1 to primary 6 (cause i'm going to be a tution teacher soon), there is too little to be learned over 6 years. There is definitely a need to decrease the amount of time taken for the primary schoolers to graduate. Otherwise, they cant keep up.

Singapore, though a small country, is rather well-developed. Though we are rather vulnerable, but we are rich. HAHA, OKAY THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE ANYWAY XD

i am in need of money right now, so if you guys are kind enough, please set up a SAVE-GOOWEY-FUND please and thank you (:
